With no end in sight to the NFL lockout, leagues owners and commissioner have begun planning for a shortened season.
According to reports, the league is looking at a scheduling an 8-game season that starts in November, based on a possible agreement that would end the lockout in October, and allow for free-agency period and training camp to begin
An alternative 16-game schedule is also being looked at, where all byes and the week between the conference championships and Super Bowl would be canceled, in addition to pushing back the Super Bowl a week, that would allow the early scheduled games to be played at the end of the regular season.
