NBA To Lockout Players Tonight as of 9:01pm TONIGHT!

NBA Commissioner David Stern and National Basketball Players Assn. head Billy Hunter held a three-hour meeting Thursday in a last-ditch effort to avoid a lockout, but the session halted with the sides failing to reach a deal on a new collective-bargaining agreement for the 2011-12 season.
The union said the NBA plans to lock out its players, Hunter said. All league business, including free agency, is on hold.
Union executive committee member and San Antonio Spur Matt Bonner told the Associated Press: "We tried to avoid the lockout; unfortunately we couldn't reach a deal."
As a result, free agent signings, summer league play and all league business will be on hold as of 9:01 p.m. PDT, when the current labor agreement expires.

Charlie Sheen will see $55,000 a month knocked off checks he receives from Warner Bros. Television, now that a judge has ordered the studio to send the former "Two and a Half Men" star's child-support money directly to ex-wife Brooke Mueller.

Mueller's request to have Sheen's paychecks garnished was granted Friday by L.A. Superior Court Judge Hank Goldberg. The couple, whose divorce was finalized May 2, have twin boys together. Sheen pays child support to Mueller on behalf of the boys as well as to Denise Richards on behalf of their two daughters.

Sources told TMZ that Mueller had requested the change so she'd be protected if Sheen, who once earned about $1.8 million per "Men" episode and lived a lifestyle to match, were to run low on cash.

A California school district is paying out $725,000 to the families of 12 Black students who sued the school alleging that the district did not protect them from racial harassment.

One racist incident allegedly lead to the shooting death of a 14-year-old student.

New Haven Unified School District turned their back, while the mostly Latino Decoto gang regularly entered school grounds and attacked Black students.

Vernon Eddins was shot to death outside of Barnard-White Middle School in December 2007, by what police described as young Latino men but charges have yet to be brought up in Eddins' death.
Along with the quarter million-dollar settlement, the judge also mandated that all high school students and visitors carry ID on school grounds. '

The school district will also start classes on gang violence and train teachers in gang-related topics.

US Airways Allows Man To Wear Women's Panties Days After Kicking Off A Flyer For Sagging his Pants

Days before a college football player was arrested on a US Airways flight at San Francisco airport following a dispute over his saggy pants, the airline allowed another man wearing women's panties to fly.

A man who flies US Airways in women's skimpy clothing, including little more than undergarments at times, said Wednesday that he does so to make business travel more fun, and complies with employees' requests to cover up - though they rarely ask.
The 65-year-old Phoenix man, who spoke to The Chronicle on the condition that his name not be published, said he was unaware that a photo taken of him wearing ladies' blue underwear and black stockings at the airport in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on June 9 had thrust him into a debate about racial profiling, travelers' security and appropriate airline attire.

“No one would believe me if I didn't take his picture,” Tarlow, 40, of Phoenix said. “It was unbelievable.”

US Airways spokeswoman Valerie Wunder defended the airline's decision to let the man fly, saying employees acted correctly.

“We don't have a dress code policy,” Wunder said. “Obviously, if their private parts are exposed, that's not appropriate…So if they're not exposing their private parts, they're allowed to fly.”

The airline has said Marman was exposing a body part on June 15 when he was repeatedly asked to pull up his pants.

His attorney, Joe O'Sullivan, said surveillance video would show his client's skin was not showing. He accused the airline of racial discrimination

A Massachusetts teacher quit her job this week amid criticism for showing an Eminem video to her 7th grade class.




Sarah L. Jordan who was teaching on media analysis, was asked not to return to school until police and administrators completed an investigation on the incident.

The teacher showed her student's Eminem's video for “Superman” and an investigation was launched after a child complained that they were shown “objectionable” material in class.
Jordan was suspended for two weeks for the incident but chose to resign on her own.

California Mom, Charged With Murder After She Microwaves Baby To Death!

 29-year-old Ka Yang  Charged with the death of her six-week-old baby, Mirabelle Thao-Lo, found dead from what was believed to be extensive thermal injuries from a microwave.

The Sacramento mother is being held without bail and her three boys under the age of 7 have been removed from her home.

What was initially reported by Yang as a seizure took three months to investigate because similar cases had to be observed. The coroner's office reported this as "...probably the worst case I've ever seen."
Police report no motive and no mental condition discovered in the case of the murdered daughter.
Officer Laura Peck said,"That will be up to the court system. The bottom line is no one knows what happened in that house but her and the little baby."

BET Awards 2011

The BET Awards are getting a triple dose of R&B. Singers Kelly Rowland, Trey Songz, and Mary J. Blige will take the stage at the 11th annual awards show later this month.
Trey Songz and Mary J. Blige are among the newly added performers, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Additionally, Cee Lo Green will make a "special appearance" at the event, airing live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on June 26.

Other previously announced performers include Lil Wayne, Drake, Alicia Keys, Chris Brown, and Jill Scott. Comedian Kevin Hart will host and Patti LaBelle will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Joseph Trungale, the CEO of restaurant chain Marie Callender’s announced yesterday that the company has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

The owner of the chain of eateries made the decision amidst falling sales due to the sluggish economy, as well as the struggling housing markets in both California and Florida.

The restaurant and bakery chain, famous for home-style meals and a bakery, and its sister company Perkin, both found themselves in dire straits after the 2004 housing market collapse.

Marie Callender’s plans on closing 64 of its 600 locations, the closure would result in the loss of 2,500 jobs. Prior to the announcement, the company employed nearly 12,000 people throughout its locations. Already 31 locations have been closed throughout the U.S, 13 of which were in California.

Man Shot Twice After Being Forced To Give Oral Sex To Another Man

A Louisville man is facing multiple sex charges after police said he forced another man to perform oral sex on him at gunpoint before shooting him twice in the leg.


According to arrest records, the victim was forced to perform oral sex on 19-year-old Anton L. Malone while being held at gunpoint behind the Jefferson Community & Technical College. Police said Malone then tried to sodomize the victim but was unsuccessful, so Malone then forced victim to perform oral sex again, this time until completion.






According to arrest records, Malone then shot the victim twice in the left leg.






Malone is charged with three counts of first-degree sodomy and one charged of second-degree assault.
