Susan Lucci has some words for the ABC Daytime executive at the helm for the cancellation of "All My Children" -- and after nearly 41 years playing Erica Kane:
"I watched Brian Frons' decisions destroy the production of our show and the lives of people on both sides of the country," she said. Frons' 2008 head-writer replacement was ultimately responsible for overseeing "subpar" scripts, said Lucci, who noted he told her the daytime drama could be replaced by a food show that cost less to make.
"AMC" production was moved from New York City to Burbank in January 2010 to cut costs. If Frons "could show his bosses that he could save the network 40 percent ... he could keep his job even if the rest of us lost ours," said Lucci, a 21-time Daytime Emmy nominee and one-time winner for lead actress.
