A Connecticut man convicted of sex abuse is making headlines, after authorities say he asked to be castrated instead of being sent to jail. Authorities say when the teacher stepped in front of a judge December 2, he begged to have his male parts removed rather than return to jail because it was “killing him.”

46-year-old Adam Friedman was arrested for having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old female student.
