Game Company's $100 Million Suit Against Beyonce Gets Go-Ahead In Court

The singer is facing a $100 million lawsuit from video game company Gate Five for abruptly pulling out of a project without warning.

The company originally filed the suit back in April, claiming that it lost $100 million in potential profits, but a New York judge has just given thee case the go-ahead and it will move forward. Beyonce has hoped to get the case tossed out, but Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Charles Ramos ejected her attempt Tuesday (December 6), but did not elaborate.
Beyonce made a lucrative agreement with Gate Five back in June 2010 for a game called "Starpower: Beyonce," but later demanded a new deal only to "abruptly abandon" the project.

Gate Five claims she cost them a $7 million investment, was it was forced to lay-off 70 employees right before Christmas 2011, and missed out on $100 million in profits.
